What it does

A short, calm path from PDF to signed PDF.

One job, done carefully. No document suite, no accounts for the people you send files to, no waiting on a server.

Any page, or every page

Sign the first page, the last page, a page you choose, or every page. Drag the box once and it lands in the same spot on every file. Save the layout as a template for next time.

A whole folder, one PIN

Choose a folder and every PDF in it is signed in one run. You type the PIN once. Signed copies go to a Signed folder next to the originals, which are never changed.

Finds your token by itself

AW Signer looks for your token’s driver on its own, so there is no driver path to type in. Tested with the HYP2003 token so far; other models are being confirmed. The PIN is used for one signing run and is never saved.

Picks the right certificate

If the token holds several, AW Signer chooses the valid signing one for you and lets you switch. Expired ones can’t be picked, and you’re warned 30 days ahead.

Compared with Acrobat

Why not just use Adobe Acrobat?

The free Acrobat Reader is fine for signing one PDF now and then. AW Signer is for when you sign many, or need the signature on more than one page.

Signed files from AW Signer are standard PDF signatures, so they validate in Acrobat like any other.

How it works

Four steps, none of them clever.

Install

On a Mac, drag the app to Applications. On Windows, run the installer. It needs no administrator rights.

Enter your email, then the 6-digit code we send. No password to remember.

Plug in the token

With the token driver installed, AW Signer looks for your certificates. Pick your PDFs and where the signature goes.

Enter your PIN

The signed copies are saved as new files and your originals stay as they were. The app updates itself when a new version is out.

Questions

Short answers.

Do my PDFs get uploaded anywhere?

No. Signing happens on your computer and the signed copy is saved there. The account server only knows your email and how many documents you signed this month, not which ones.

Do signed files work in Adobe Acrobat?

Yes. AW Signer adds a standard PDF digital signature with your DSC. Open the signed file in Acrobat and the Signature Panel shows who signed and whether the file has changed since. If Acrobat says the signer is unknown, that is about trusting the Indian certifying authority’s root on that computer, not about AW Signer.

Which tokens work?

AW Signer is tested and confirmed with the HYP2003 token. On Windows it also looks for the drivers of ProxKey, mToken, Trust Key, ePass2003, eToken and other common tokens, but we haven’t confirmed those yet. Write to us with your token’s make and model and we’ll tell you whether it works before you rely on it.

Does it work on both Mac and Windows?

Yes. The Mac version needs macOS 13 or newer on Apple Silicon. The Windows version needs Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Both sign the same way and use the same account. Get either one from the download page.

Can I use one account on more than one computer?

Yes, on up to 3 computers, Macs and Windows PCs counted together. Sign in with the same email on each. The free plan’s 10 PDFs a month are shared across them.

What happens at the free limit?

Once you’ve signed 10 documents in a month, the app stops signing until the count resets on the first of the next month. Pro removes the limit for ₹1,299 a year or ₹149 a month, GST included. Nothing you’ve already signed is affected.

How do updates work?

The app checks once a day and offers to install a new version, then restarts. Every update is verified against our signing key before it’s installed. You can switch automatic installs on or off in Settings.
